50 Cent contracts Ebola?

Rumours are flying across the Internet that popular US rapper 50 Cent has contracted Ebola after a trip to Africa.

The rumour comes at the same time as similar rumours started about rapper Lil Wayne and U2 singer Bono.

And just like those rumours, this one is as equally as false. 50 Cent has not got Ebola – the story has been entirely made up and posted on ‘fauxtire’ (fake news posing as satire) website Viral10 which is essentially exploiting the Ebola outbreak by continually posting fake news in order to attract traffic to their website.

Viral10 is one of a number of sites that posts fake news in order to lure visitors onto their website which is sponsored heavily by third party ads that make money for the site creators.

The image (below) used to illustrate 50 Cent with Ebola was taken a number of years ago when the rapper lost weight for the movie “All Things Fall Apart” which saw 50 Cent undergo dramatic weight loss to play the part for the film.
