Fake Product and/or Service |

One of the most prolific and unimaginative of scams on the Internet are the ones that mislead victims into believing that they have a product or service when they do not. Fake Products or Services can range from "Chinese Wholesale" scams that literaly take your money and run, and even go on to commit identity theft in some cases, and also get-rich-quick schemes which lead victims to believe they have the secret forumlas to financial freedom when all they offer is basic marketing material. Ponzi schemes are also an example of a fake product but as they are so popular on the Internet they have their own section here. Many get-rich-quick schemes advertise through fake newspaper ads. |
