ThatsNonsense.com Name Used by Malware Scammers05/16/10Online users should be advised that online scammers trying to dupe people into downloading harmful software onto their computers are using, amongst others, our domain name as keywords to get people to visit their sites. The sites often appear high in Google listings when typing in certain keyphrases including `thatsnonsense.com` and when visited, will ask the potential victim to install media codes which are in reality computer viruses. Often the webpages are designed to look like YouTube pages but the URL of the site clearly shows the webpage does not belong to the popular video upload site. The same scammers behind this scam we listed recently are behind the same attacks using our name. We advise our readers to exercise caution and do not download `media codecs` from sites you do not trust. |
