This prank started, as far we can tell, sometime in early January.
The Facebook email, that has spread like wildfire, requests the girls of the popular social networking site to change their status update to the color of their bra. The
reasons why seem to vary. One of the original and more popular versions of the email reads like this -
right girls let`s have some fun.
write the color of the bra you`re wearing right now as your status on fb and dont tell the boys. they will be wondering what all the girls are doing with colors as their
status. forward this to all the girls online`
The email proved successful in its replication but it wasnt long before many girls were letting slip
the reason why many of them were updating their Facebook statuses to `black` or `white` or often `murky grey` and the boys were soon in the know.
Others have
adapted the email to claim it is to raise awareness of breast cancer, though this - as far as we can tell - is not an official campaign by any breast cancer organisation, and
has likely been started as some sort of prank or game.
