Two Suns on 21thJune
2010
21st June - the Whole World is waiting for.............

Star Aderoid will be the brightest in the
sky, starting 10 June. It will look as large as the sun from naked eye. This will culminate on 21st June when the star comes within 34.65M miles of the earth. Be sure to watch
the sky on june. 21 at 12:30 pm. It will look like the earth has 2 suns.!!
The next time Aderoid may come this close is in 2287

There is nothing like a photoshopped photo to make a ridiculous email appear legitimate, and this
certainly seems to be the case with this rumour that has gone viral!
The photo, along with the entire script, is completely fabricated. Any Internet searches
for the term `Aderoid` (which simply appears to be a play on the word Asteroid) just turns up this same hoax, meaning there is likely no star by this name at all. Also the
assertion that this star will come within 34.65 million miles from the Earth is as ludicrous as it is unfounded, as it would mean that this phantom star would be nearly three
times as close to Earth as our own sun is, which stands at between 92-93 million miles away, and anyone with even a basic understanding of astronomy will know that the sun is
(and always is) by far the closest star to planet Earth.
Additionally any star that close to the Earth will destroy all life on our planet, including bacteria.
Probably just as well the story is a complete hoax.
In fact the message was inspired by a similar hoax a few years back that substituted Mars for Aderoid and the moon
for the sun. You can see the Mars hoax here.
