Facebook groups or events that claim you need to invite all your friends to receieve a reward are scams.
This Facebook event scam leads to a survey scam.
These Facebook free offer group scams work by scammers setting up Facebook groups, pages and events purporting to offer free goodies. All a Facebook users has to do, apparently, is join/like/attend and invite their friends to do the same. The scammer goes on to claim that the first certain amount of Facebook users to join will receive the free offer, providing they got their Facebook contacts to join as well. Often these groups will also claim you have to write on the wall of the group/page/event or write on the wall of another. Again, many of these scams will often request a Facebook user download dubious software as well.
These scams are never genuine. No companies offer free stuff for simply signing up for a Facebook group and getting your friends to do the same. It is simply uneconomical for companies to operate in such a way. Any group/page/event that claims to offer free goodies simply for joining are merely hoaxes.
