YouTube video claims “Police Caught Staging London Bridge Hoax”

Bizarre conspiracy theory laden videos are circulating social media that shows footage of police officers changing clothes in the streets during the London Terror attack on June 3rd along with the claim that the video offers proof that the London Terror attacks were staged (i.e. didn’t really happen.)

One of the original versions of the video was uploaded by user fuggerfees.

What does the conspiracy video claim the footage shows?

The narrator of the video asserts that the footage shows several “crisis actors” preparing to stage a fake terror incident and these “crisis actors” are presumably preparing for their roles by getting changed in full view of the public. The narrator then makes the assertion the one of the officers is playing the part of one of the fallen terrorists, who was also wearing similar trousers according to photos of the incident.

What does the footage really show?

The footage clearly and simply shows several police officers putting on black overalls which are part of their tactical gear. The entire clip of the footage (which is omitted in this conspiracy video) shows all the officers putting on the same type of black overall.

The bizarre conspiracy videos make several outlandish assumptions based on literally no evidence whatsoever, and most of the reasoning made by the narrator defies even a basic comprehension of logic.

The narrator of the video is making the claim that the footage depicts several actors preparing for their roles where they will play key characters in what is essentially a staged play designed to fool the general public into thinking a terror attack occurred, while simultaneously not raising the suspicions of the real police, mainstream media or indeed anyone in London who happened to be in the area at that time.

A still from the conspiracy video claims to show proof of crisis actors preparing for a role.

Additionally, according to the narrator, these “crisis actors” (actors who conspiracy theorists assert play a part in staged events that didn’t really happen) were inexplicably getting changed for their “roles” in full view whilst being filmed by members of the public.

Of course, none of this makes any sense. Presumably if this was some staged event, the “actors” would get changed out of the public view.

The narrator goes on to make a number of strange claims, including the claim that one of the officers would later play the role of a fallen terrorist because he can be seen in the footage wearing similar camouflage trousers, despite the officer clearly being a different build, a different ethnicity and having different hair colour (and later in the video also putting on black overalls.)

The fallen terrorist appears to be identified by police as Rachid Redouane [inset] though this is not confirmed.

These silly “crisis actor” conspiracy theory videos just get stranger and stranger. The people behind them – who thankfully don’t appear to have any great deal of influence outside of YouTube and their basement dwellings – will make various unfounded claims and present them as “evidence” when they are anything but.

Don’t give these silly videos any of your time. They’re disrespectful, pointless and a waste of time.
