Claims that death row inmate ate Bible for last meal are fake

Claims that a death row inmate ate an entire Bible for his last meal come from a popular fake news website.

If you’ve heard the “news” that a death row inmate in Alabama requested and subsequently ate the Holy Bible as per his last meal request, then you were duped, because it’s fake news from a well-known spoof website.

However the story is complete fiction. The photos apparently depicting the inmate and prison director show other people. And the inmate is identified as Jeremy Morris – however there are no records of an Alabama man in Death Row under that name.
