Macaulay Culkin death rumours

Rumours are circulating that Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin has died at the age of 34 after being found by the police in a Manhattan apartment.

The rumours link back to a [now taken down] social media page and a fake news website MSNBC.website (not to be confused with MSNBC.com) which uses the “website” top level domain. The article states –

Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member.

At least one occupant of the Manhattan apartment confirmed the apartment belongs to Culkin but police have not confirmed the man’s identity at this time

The rumours are entirely false, just another celebrity death hoax spread by social media users who are failing to verify the information they pass on. The official twitter account for Pizza Underground – the band of which Culkin is the vocalist – have posted numerous tweets since the rumours broke, many featuring Culkin, including this one half referencing the viral rumours.
