25 Absolute Worst Passwords of 2015 Released

What are the most commonly used terrible passwords of 2015? Password management company SplashData revealed what passwords people were – but shouldn’t have been – using in 2015, from a pool of 2 million leaked passwords.

It’s an annual list, and the majority of the passwords featured on the 2015 edition have made plenty of appearances in the past. Needless to say, the old favourites make a return. Yes, that means password and 123456.

1qaz2wsx also makes an appearance for the first time, and if that looks a little too random to be a bad password, then take a look at your computer keyboard. It’s the first two columns of the keyboard. Meaning it’s really just as bad as qwerty (which also makes an appearance, again.)

Also a new member is starwars. No guessing why that has made a first appearance for 2015.
