Musician Prince has died aged 57

Reports are spreading across social media that assert musician Prince has passed away aged 57.

The reports appear to be true. According to reports from the Associated Press, his publicist has claimed that he “died at his home in suburban Minneapolis.”

Born Prince Rogers Nelson, rumours concerning his health have been spreading for some time, and last Friday he was reportedly briefly hospitalized last Friday after an unscheduled plane landing in Illinois, apparently suffering flu-like symptoms.

In 2004, Prince was inducted into the Rock and Roll of Fame. Perhaps his most iconic hit was the 1984 song ‘Purple Rain’.
