Can you make money with Google posting links? Fact Check

If you’ve landed on this page looking for information about making money with Google just by posting links, then you probably saw some sort of advert, comment or video claiming that you can make lots of money by doing just that.

As Internet fact checkers, we’re often asked by our readers about various work from home schemes that all claim you can make hundreds, if not thousands every day just by posting links on the Internet, or on Google. And naturally the opportunity seems enticing. After all, we can all copy and paste a link. It’s easy, and if we can make money doing it, then brilliant.

However, as you may have suspected, it’s not that simple. In fact, claims that you can make money with Google just by posting links are essentially lying to you, because while many people who do have a career online do post links as part of their strategy, such simplistic claims about getting paid to post links are designed to grossly mislead Internet users into thinking that it’s both an easy and quick way to make money online. It isn’t.

The chances are that you saw something online resembling a rags-to-riches story about how someone from a humble background made their millions after stumbling on some secret, automated system that allowed them to get paid to post links. That even allowed them to get rich.

So first off, what are these claims promoting?

It’s likely that they’re promoting products that go under names like ‘Google Home Business Kit’ or ‘Google Sniper’. They provide information on products like Google Adwords. But the problem is that they’re promoting an illusion that they’re some kind of system which can make you rich when that’s just not true.

The reality is while making money online is certainly both possible and ascertainable, there are no systems, shortcuts or “automated methods”, and no way that just anyone can merely start posting links on Google to make money. That’s the illusion that spammers want you to think, so you buy their informational products, and it’s an illusion that only serves to be counterproductive to becoming successful.
