Does video of break dancing girl show Lyanna Mormont actress? Fact Check

A video of a young girl dancing is spreading on social media along with the claim that it is the actress who plays Lyanna Mormont from Game of Thrones, an actress named Bella Ramsey.

FALSE

The video can be seen below –

There’s nothing Lyanna Mormont can’t do.

Lyanna Mormont. First of her name. Mother of rhythm. Breaker of dances.

However the video does not show Bella Ramsey, most noted for playing the part of the young Lyanna Mormont in HBO’s Game of Thrones. While there are a number of similarities, the video is actually of a young Russian Dancer with the Instagram name b.girl_petaira7498 who uploaded the video in February 2019 along with the translated caption “Today I judged the selections for battle of the styles”. There are a number of other photos and videos of the young dancer on her Instagram page.

However many social media users believed that the dancer was Bella Ramsey, and while there is certainly a passing similarity between the pair, Ramsey herself noted that it was not her in the video after being asked on social media website Twitter.

As such, the claim that this video shows the actress Bella Ramsey is false.
