Making money from home by posting links; Does it work?
There is this illusion online that you can get rich online just by posting links on the Internet. As your go-to scam debunkers, we explain what’s true about this highly sought after subject, and more importantly, what’s not true.
When it comes to making money from home, there is no shortage of opportunities. One of these opportunities is the reoccurring claim that you can get paid just by posting links on the Internet. So the burning question is, is this really true?
The answer is this; yes, but probably not in the way you’re thinking.
Most of the so-called opportunities we see when it comes to posting links intentionally create this illusion that you can simply copy and paste links across the Internet, just to watch the money roll in. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. Right?
Wrong. It’s just that – an illusion. No such system exists. If you could make good money doing that, we’d all be doing it. We’d give up this blog and do it! We don’t, of course, because it’s rubbish.
Sites that claim you can do this are probably trying to trick you into spamming links to their website all over the Internet, giving them some free advertising! Or, they’re trying to trick you into paying money for a “secret system” which turns out to be some generic, easily-obtainable information on Internet marketing, of which “posting links” is just one, small facet. Either way, you won’t be making money just by posting links. Sorry.
So posting links online isn’t going to make me money?
The bad news is that if you’re expecting to find a system that will let you just copy and paste links across the Internet and make money, then you won’t. To make money online, you need to learn to be able to create value to the Internet. And funnily enough, just going around the Internet copying and pasting links isn’t of much value to anyone. In fact, most people find it annoying! Because it is annoying. It is – basically – spamming.
That’s the bad news, but there is good news too. And that is that working for yourself using the Internet doesn’t have to be just a dream. The reality is that if you’re after a full time income online, you’re probably going to need to do one important thing: learn. Mainly, this will mean learning about Internet marketing, how to build a web presence, and how to drive traffic to content that you create and the links that you post. Just posting links won’t make you money, but posting links as part of a larger strategy that you’ve learned and understand certainly can make you money.
The big question, of course, it how do you start on this journey. Well, there are TONS of great resources out there when it comes to learning about how to make money using the Internet. One that we recommend is Wealthy Affiliate, which is a platform that teaches Internet marketing, specifically Affiliate Marketing, which is great for people starting out because you don’t need to have a product to sell, which most people won’t. Affiliate marketing means selling products belonging to others, and making a commission for doing so. And if you’re good at it, the money can be pretty good too!
